Peru 18: the Ballestas Islands trip
We went out to these islands which are about 5 miles off the coast near Pisco. They are home to seals, sealions, and many types of seabird.
The islands look white as there is so much guano (bird droppings) on them sealions
The guano is collected and taken to the mainland to be used for making fertiliser aye aye cap'n
